The program

A loyalty strategy built around the relationship.

When the previous loyalty vendor closed, the manufacturer needed to restore its program without losing customer data, points balances, or momentum across its distributor network and end users, including golf courses and turf managers.

The program was rebuilt on the URewards platform with familiar rewards and dashboards intact, then expanded with category bonuses, points multipliers, pending-point visibility, and a more integrated participant experience.

The challenge

What the business needed to change.

Complex earning logic

The program needed to support bonuses, multipliers, category rules, and seasonal incentives.

Sensitive data migration

Member records and existing balances had to move accurately so customers retained confidence in the program.

Experience continuity

Customers needed transparent point tracking and simple redemption without a disruptive learning curve.

Rapid relaunch

The replacement program had to launch quickly enough to avoid a long engagement gap.

The approach

Reconnect distributor data, rewards, and customer behavior

Sales data flowed from the distributor network through an aggregator into the loyalty program, allowing eligible activity to be credited automatically without asking customers to upload invoices.

A single-sign-on portal gave members one place to track pending and active points, monitor progress toward category bonuses, and redeem for gift cards, merchandise, distributor credits, or charitable donations.

Rules for seasonality

Points multipliers encouraged off-season purchases and helped smooth demand across the year.

Pending points

The platform could hold points while returns, unpaid invoices, and reporting delays were resolved.

Category bonuses

Targeted rules encouraged customers to buy across all three product categories.

Integrated participation

API and SFTP data flows, single sign-on, and sales-representative visibility connected program activity to the wider sales experience.

The result

Measurable growth, built into the program.

The relaunch protected program continuity while making loyalty a stronger driver of off-season demand, cross-category purchasing, and repeat business.
